NEW PRODUCT PROVIDES
IN-DEPTH SUPPORT
FOR ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATORS

Timothy Guinther, who has nearly 15 years’ experience in developing database
design software, Modelright for Oracle has several
“showcase” features that Guinther felt were missing from other products on the
market, including:

object
relational tables, views and types;
·
full-cycle
database modeling via a more complete comparison with the database;
·
robust
modeling support, including key migration and unification, model subsets and
user-defined properties; and
·
a more usable interface based on general
Windows functions and features.
“Database design
tools are very complicated,” said Guinther. “We came up with a generic and
self-validating foundation that enabled us to implement features like
undo/redo, copy/paste and scripting that many mature products didn’t have.”
Guinther said
he’s looking forward to user feedback on this initial release so that the next
version, scheduled for release this summer, can be even more robust.
